The Pakistan Origin Card (POC) program endeavors to provide eligible Pakistanis/Blood relative living abroad with unprecedented incentives to get back to their roots, while ensuring that the motherland remains tightly integrated with expatriates worldwide.

Main features of the POC

The Pakistan Origin Card is blue in color, written in English and possesses thirteen digits registration number randomly generated by a computer system unique to every individual.

It is a Unique category for those foreigners who directly have no link to Pakistan but their spouses are citizens of Pakistan. Such foreigners have a special kind of link to Pakistan.

If spouse of POC holder gets died, certificate and second marriage certificate is required ( for Pakistan origin male / female spouses) and in case of divorce attested divorce paper from Pakistani mission abroad is required but in case of inland divorce , certificate attested from foreign office is required ( for Pakistani origin male/ Female)..

What is the procedure of correction of office mistake in POC?

Applicant needs to provide original POC within 90 days from receipt of the said card, all such cases will be processed free of cost.

POC can be delivered at the provided address only. NADRA delivers POC through international courier services like DHL at address provided by the applicant. If applicant was not found at the address then courier makes another attempt to deliver POC another day. After three unsuccessful attempts the card is destroyed by the courier..

What is renunciation letter?

Renunciation letter is issued by MOI to those persons who want to relinquish Pakistani Citizenship because such person is a citizen or national of another country or such person has been given any valid document assuring him of the grant of citizenship or nationality by a competent authority of that country. Such person makes a declaration of renunciation of citizenship of Pakistan and ceases to be a Citizen of Pakistan from the date of such registration.
