Child Registration Certificate (CRC)

It is the fundamental right of a child to get a registration certificate from the place of origin. NADRA has been able to automate and in turn facilitate the process of acquiring Child Registration Certificates (CRC).  

Eligibility for CRC:

NADRA has initiated the provision of a Child Registration Certificate (CRC) to every Pakistani child, aged 18 years or less. The certificate contains essential information about the child, including the minor’s name and registration number, date of birth, place of birth, gender, and parents’ names and CNIC numbers. The Child is allotted same 13 digits registration number which will be his/her future CNIC # when he/she applies for CNIC upon attaining 18 years of age. It is the responsibility of every child’s parents/guardians to get registered their children under 18 years of age.

Fee Structure

The processing fee for the CRC is Rs.50 for the normal category and Rs.500 for the executive category. There is no urgent processing of the CRC.

Delivery

When CRC will be processed it will only be sent to the NSRC from where it was applied and applicant will get the print out of the CRC from there

Required Documents :


Ø      CNIC of Father and Mother
Ø      Birth Certificate (Children Above Ten years required to produce Birth Certificate/Matric Certificate/School Leaving)
Ø      School certificate (verified by District Education Officer)
Ø      Union Councils Birth certificate.
Ø      Court Guardian Certificate is not required if first blood relatives apply for CRC. The first relatives may be:
Ø      Grand father and Grand mother
Ø      Uncle and Aunty (Chacha, Mamoon, Khala, Taaya etc) Court Guardian is required
Ø      If applicant's parents are expired then the death certificate is required and if anybody adopts the child then Court Guardian Certificate is required

What is CRC?

CBRC/Birth certificate/verified foreign School Certificate/SSC/SLC Countersigned by AEO/DDEO/DEO/Certificate by Wafaq Ul Madares/Tanzeem UL Madares/Court Decree.

Is 2nd time age change possible in CRC, if yes then what documents are required.
Yes second time age change is possible in CRC, Documents required are CBRC/Birth Certificate/SSC/SLC Countersigned by AEO/DDEO/DEO /Certificate by Wafaq Ul Madares/Tanzeem Ul Madares/ court decree.

Can a person apply CRC from abroad?
No, a person cannot apply CRC from abroad.

If a child is NICOP holder and his father is applying for CRC of his 2nd child. Can he add his child who is holding NICOP in CRC?
No


Can CRC be entertained in Office Mistake?
No.

CRC holder can be added as a relative to remove SI.

How many time age of a child can be changed in CRC?
More than two times.

Is Disable logo applicable for CRC ?
Yes

How much is the fee for DUP clearance in CRC?
10,000 Rupees

Can a person apply for himself for CRC on the basis of SSC?
No

If minor father is unmarried in CNIC. Can he apply for CRC.
No.

Can a person retain the same name in CRC once changed?
No, one cannot retain the same name in CRC.

Is it possible for a POC holder to process CRC for his/her children living in Pakistan?
No, POC holder cannot apply for CRC.

What documents are required for the father name change in CRC?
CBRC /Birth Certificate and father CNIC if father is alive.

What documents are required for mother name change in CRC?
CBRC/Birth certificate and mother CNIC if alive.

What documents are required for the name change of deceased parents in CRC?
Only Court decree.

What is the procedure of gender change in CRC?
CBRC/Birth certificate and spot verification.

What documents are required for surrender of CRC?
Death certificate/Graveyard burial certificate and Original CRC If available.

If original CRC is not available then what are the requirements of cancellation of CRC?
FIR/Affidavit attested by 1st class magistrate.

Who can apply for the cancellation of CRC?
Only blood relatives can apply.

What are the requirements for reprint or duplicate of CRC?
Photocopy of previous CRC Or CNIC Numbers of parents.

What is the fee for the cancellation of CRC?
50 Rupees

What documents are required for change of Birth Place?
CBRC/Birth Certificate.

Is presence of child in NRC is necessary during CRC processing?
No child presence is not necessary.

What documents are required for gender change in case of Eunuch?
No evidences of gender are asked in case of Eunuch.

Can any relative other than parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters apply for CRC of a child?
Other relatives cannot apply directly through guardianship. First they will adopt the child then can apply through guardianship certificate.

What documents are required for upward domain change ?
CBRC/Birth certificate/Matric certificate/verified foreign school certificate/certificate from Tanzeem ul Madaras/Wafaq ul Madaras/ School leaving certificate counter signed by AEO/DDEO/DEO.or Martic result card.

 What are the requirements for downward domain change?
Only by the provision of court decree.


Note: CRC is destructed after three months if applicant did not collect it.
